Heartprint Park

Heartprint Park is a small, simple outdoor playground we often stop at when we want an easy play break with the kids.

It’s located opposite Apsara Pasta in Siem Reap, and while it may not have an official name, we call it Heartprint Park as it was built by the NGO Heartprint. It’s a lovely example of a community space that’s been created with children in mind.

The playground itself is a climbing frame with a few slides — nothing flashy or overwhelming, but more than enough to keep children happy.

We’ve found it works best in the early morning or early evening, when the sun is lower and the heat isn’t too much. It’s a perfect little stop before or after a meal nearby, or simply as somewhere to let kids burn off a bit of energy.

One of the best things about it is that it’s completely free and open to anyone, which makes it feel very welcoming and relaxed. You can pop there for five minutes or stay longer depending on energy levels — no pressure, no planning needed.

Heartprint Park is a great reminder that play doesn’t have to be big or expensive to be valuable. If you’re in Siem Reap with kids, it’s a really nice, low-key spot to have saved.
