Butterfly Paradise
Butterfly Paradise is a really lovely, calm outing for families in Siem Reap — especially if you want something gentle and a bit different with kids.
It’s a peaceful, enclosed garden where butterflies fly freely all around you, and that alone is enough to captivate children. To make it even more engaging, kids are given a tick sheet of animals to find, which turns the visit into a little treasure hunt and keeps them focused as they explore.
It’s not just butterflies either. There are also rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and other small animals to spot along the way, which our kids absolutely loved.
What works particularly well with kids is the slow pace and shaded setting. You can wander at your own speed, stop whenever something catches their attention, and there’s no pressure to rush. It’s ideal for toddlers and younger children who enjoy looking, pointing, and discovering rather than running flat out.
A really nice bonus is that right next door there’s a small play park. It’s perfect if you want to extend the outing a little, or simply need somewhere for the kids to burn off energy while you wait for your tuk-tuk to arrive.
