Khmer Women’s Food

Khmer Women’s Food is one of those places that doesn’t look fancy at all, but instantly makes you feel at ease as a family. It’s very local, very relaxed, and run by a genuinely lovely family who are incredibly warm — especially towards kids.

There are no highchairs, but honestly, that doesn’t feel like a downside here. This isn’t a place where anyone expects children to sit perfectly still. If your toddler wants to stand up, shuffle about, or hop on and off their seat while you eat, no one bats an eyelid. That alone makes it such a relief compared to places where you feel constantly on edge.

What really makes this spot special is the people. The family who run it are kind, patient, and always happy to smile, chat, or interact with the kids. You never feel like you’re inconveniencing anyone by being there with little ones — if anything, it feels like kids are genuinely welcome.

The food is proper home-style Khmer cooking — simple, comforting, and full of flavour — and the whole place has more of a “being in someone’s home” feel than a restaurant. It’s not polished or curated, and that’s exactly the charm.

If you’re travelling with kids and want to try local Khmer food somewhere that feels forgiving, friendly, and real, Khmer Women’s Food is a really lovely choice.
