Coconut Park
Coconut Park is one of our favourite outdoor family spots in Phnom Penh because there’s genuinely something for everyone — and you can choose how simple or full-on you want the visit to be.
The park itself is free to enter, which already makes it a win. There’s loads of shaded green space, playground equipment, and room for children to run, climb, and explore freely while parents sit nearby. It has that relaxed, community feel where kids naturally end up playing together, especially in the late afternoon or early evening when it’s cooler.
One of the biggest highlights for kids is the splash park. Entry wristbands can be bought inside Makerspace Studio, with a $2.50 day pass per child. It’s perfect on hot days — kids can cool off, run between water play and the playground, and burn off plenty of energy without much effort from parents.
For more active families, there’s also a mountain bike trail designed for ages 4+. The trail starts with a small loop of humps and bumps, then continues around the back of the CIS Roller Dome, with extra ramps, obstacles, and features to ride over. Entry for the bike trail is $3, and it’s a great option if your kids love bikes and a bit of adventure. You can bring your own bikes or rent for a fee.
Inside the Makerspace Ceramic Art Studio, there are more structured activities if you want something calmer. There’s a LEGO studio for $5 per hour, painting sessions starting at $5 per hour, and a ceramics studio starting at $3 per item plus $4 for firing. These are great if you want to balance outdoor play with something creative and hands-on.
They also offer monthly passes and sibling discounts, which is really helpful if you live nearby or plan to visit regularly.
What we love most about Coconut Park is how flexible it is. You can turn up for a free run-around, spend hours mixing splash play, biking, and crafts, or just pop in for a short reset outdoors. It’s relaxed, family-friendly, and one of those places that grows with your kids — which is exactly why we keep going back.
